As our first Chief of Staff, you’ll play a key role in making sure our Tech domain runs smoothly, scales wisely, and continues to deliver work we’re proud of. You’ll work closely with our CTO to shape and support the team during a time of growth, keeping our technical vision aligned with the bigger creative picture.

This is a new role – so you’ll have the chance to make it your own. That said, your day-to-day tasks will be wide-ranging, and a strong technology background is essential for our shared success. That and a strong sense of leadership accompanied by your ability to bring people together across disciplines.

The Tech domain at Frankly is 18 people strong.

Responsibilities

• Act as the central coordination point for tech projects – across clients, teams, and internal tools
• Support smart resource planning and prioritization for our Tech domain, alongside Project Managers and Product Owners

• Keep oversight of internal tech projects to enhance efficiency across the business

• Support our CTO on strategic planning and delivery of business initiatives
• Lead hiring, onboarding, and personal/professional development initiatives for the Tech domain
• Help shape and nurture a culture of creativity, learning, and continuous improvement

• Support our CTO on reports and presentations, internal and external

Skills and experience

• A degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Proven experience leading within a tech function/developer environment – whether as a team lead, engineering manager, or similar
• Familiarity with the following: .Net, React, Cloud, AI, Integrations, Web
• A keen interest in best practices and improved techniques for development

• You are a strategic thinker, able to interpret strategy and translate it into plans – and an adept problem-solver with a strong project management background
• You are proactive, and can horizon scan, pre-empt issues, and adapt fast
• Commercial acumen - good judgment and understanding of internal and external business drivers
• A strong sense of what it means to be a client-focused business

• A feel for how tech supports great creative work (and vice versa)
• Excellent communication skills – written, spoken, and on slides – and fluent in English
• Emotional intelligence – you work well across functions, from design to dev to client services
• Bonus: experience working with or for global, multinational B2B brands is a big plus
