For our Budapest office, we’re looking for a Senior Backend Developer who enjoys solving complex problems, building scalable software, and helping shape how modern software engineering is practiced.

This is a hands-on engineering role with opportunities to influence technical direction, mentor other developers, work directly with clients, and help drive Frankly’s adoption of modern AI-enabled engineering practices.

You Must Have

· Several years of professional software development experience.

· Experience designing and delivering production-quality software.

· Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, databases, and modern development practices.

· Experience working with distributed systems, integrations, and cloud-based solutions.

· Strong understanding of software quality, testing, security, and maintainability.

· Experience participating in technical planning, estimation, and solution design.

· Excellent communication skills in English.

It’s Nice If You Have

· Experience with AI integrations, LLMs, agentic systems, or automation.

· Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred).

· Experience across multiple programming languages and technology stacks.

· Experience mentoring developers or leading technical initiatives.

· Experience working directly with enterprise clients.

· Experience contributing to technical standards, architecture, or engineering practices.
